For parents interested in the scheduling process, here is a synopsis:
- During the first week of February, counselors will meet with high school students in their English classes for pre-scheduling. We will discuss graduation requirements and course offerings. Students will be allowed to request courses for next year. This information is requests only. This is not their schedule.
- At the end of February, a copy of your student’s requests will be mailed home. Please review this with your student.
- Throughout the spring, counselors will meet with students to discuss their individual progress towards graduation, post-secondary plans, and their requested courses for the upcoming school year. If there are conflicts with requested courses (e.g. electives cancelled or requests unavailable) the counselor will address this with the student.
- In May and June, parents can schedule a meeting with their student's counselor to review progress towards graduation and address scheduling concerns.
