Welcome to English 9! Studying English together gives us the opportunity to read, write, listen, and speak with one another. As a class, we will read and discuss novels, plays, short stories, and poems. We will be writing journals and essays, and analyzing literature. The novels for English 9 may include The Miracle Worker, House on Mango Street, Of Mice and Men, The Hate U Give, Lord of the Flies, Klara and the Sun, Tuesdays with Morrie, and Romeo and Juliet.
