The Living Environment is a Regents science that stresses inquiry and depends upon the basic relationships of the physical sciences as well as living things. Both the presentation of content and the development of process skills will be critical components of this course.
Necessary Daily Course Materials
Three Ring binder with dividers for 9 units
To come prepared with required materials daily
Hand in homework at beginning of class
To complete Do-Now’s at the start of class and class assignments daily
Study and take quizzes/ tests
To participate in class discussions and activities
To Respect all things and people including yourself

The mid-term exam will count as 5% of your final grade
The final exam is the regents and will count for 15% of your final grade
Students must satisfactorily complete 1,200 minutes of lab exercises to be eligible to take the Regents exam. You will be notified if you cannot sit for the exam.
Lab requirement must be met by the first week of June.
Completed labs will be due the next lab period
Make-up labs can only be arranged for those who were legally absent
Labs will be graded out of 100 points. A 65 or better will earn you a satisfactory or an S. Unsatisfactory grades must be brought up to count towards credit for lab exercises.
If you need extra help please discuss with me when you available and we will work out a time to meet. Please do not wait until after something is due to say you need help on it.
I will post everything we do in class and lab in Google classroom. You should have joined our classroom so that you can see what we are doing or if you need materials. If you are absent please check Google classroom- any handouts will be in the folder in class.
You are required to make up any missed work when absent. Any missed work will be placed in the appropriate day folder in the front of the classroom. Please check the folder, check Google classroom and then come and talk to me.
