Prior to arriving at school, parents must check their child's temperature and complete the online form each morning that their child is scheduled to come to school. The link is https://entry.neric.org/onteora.

Early Release - Countywide Evacuation Drill: November 5

On Thursday, November 5, 2020, the Onteora Central School District will be participating in a countywide Evacuation Drill. 

This means that on Thursday, November 5, 2020, the Onteora Middle and High School will be dismissing students at 2:20 P.M.

Transportation Schedules

Transportation information for the 2020-21 school year is now available on the student/parent portal (select the "More" tab). Please log in for the most up to date information. If you are unable to log in to the portal to retrieve transportation information, please contact your child's school.

Superintendent's Update: Return to School and Remote Learning

In an effort to make re-entry as seamless and safe as possible, we will be phasing in our re-entry as follows:

  • Grades K - 6: Thursday, October 1, 2020
  • Grades 7 & 8: Monday, October 5, 2020
  • Grades 9 - 12: Tuesday, October 13, 2020

This schedule will allow us to focus on supporting our elementary students as they return, followed closely by our Middle School students. Our High School students being the final step to full integration of our students in our in-person learning environment. [Select the headline for the complete letter.]

BOCES Career & Technical Education Program Information

Learning Model/Calendar
All BOCES CTE programs will begin with a fully remote online learning model on September 8 and gradually phase in to hybrid model. In the hybrid model, Onteora High School students will attend their CTE program in-person on Wednesdays from 9:30 A.M to 1:00 P.M., beginning September 30.

Military Opt-Out Information

School district are required to provide military recruiters with secondary students' names, addresses and telephone numbers.

Attention Student Athletes: Press Pause On Play Webinar (Sept. 29)

On September 29th at 7pm, there will be a webinar offered by our Regional Office for Athletics  featuring certified mental performance consultant, Danielle Delisio M.S., CMPC. Topics for our Student-Athletes such as; “Learning how to cope with the unknowns ,tools on how to remain positive in this ever-changing environment, and how to continue working out and keeping yourself accountable” will be covered. Students and families are encouraged to participate.  Be well and stay safe!

Chromebook Distribution Image

High school families who were unable to pick up student Chromebooks on their designated day may pick up these devices on Tuesday, September 1 from 4:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in front of the high school.

  • The schedule for Chromebook pick-ups is:
    • Monday, August 24:  Seniors
    • Tuesday, August 25:  Juniors
    • Wednesday, August 26:  Sophomores
    • Thursday, August 27:  Freshmen
    • Friday, August 28:  8th Graders
    • Monday, August 31:  7th Graders
       
  • Chromebooks may be picked up on the student’s designated day from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. in the bus lane in front of the school. Please drive up to the tent that is set up and remain in your vehicle at all times. A member of our staff will assist you.
     
  • Please note that due to the large volume of Chromebooks that need to be distributed, we are unable to take special requests that alter our distribution schedule. If you are unable to pick up your child’s device on their designated day, alternate arrangements will be made with you after August 31.
