Save the Date: Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, is coming to Boiceville on May 3-5! Onteora High School is presenting the school edition of Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning musical, which tells the tale of a revenge-seeking barber whose thirst for blood inspires his friend, a failing baker, to integrate a secret ingredient into her shop’s meat pies.

Dates and Showtimes: May 3 and May 4 at 7 PM; May 5 at 2 PM.

Tickets, which are $15 for adults and $10 for students, may be purchased at the door or by emailing

Pictured are cast members Justin Blydenburgh (who plays the barber, Sweeney Todd), Emily Peck (who plays the pie-making Mrs. Lovett), and Clara Mead (whose character, Tobias, allows Mrs. Lovett to show her more humane side).

Note: Parental discretion is advised. Although many adjustments have been made to make the musical school-appropriate, the story, with its themes of violence, may still be too intense for young patrons.
